Honey Glazed Carrots

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds whole carrots
  • ¼ cup Dad’s Own
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of toasted sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped scallions (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fill a large pot with water and season with salt, place on high heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Peel carrots and cut in half lengthwise.
  3. Boil carrots for 3 minutes and blanche.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
  5. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer for 3 minutes.
  6. Add carrots and cook for an additional 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove carrots and top with sesame seeds and scallions.
